Deviant ReBeL Clothing was established in 2000 by RoBerta E. Baker-Lundy. Her initials is where the name ReB-L comes from. She strives to maintain individuality, uniqueness, and a sense of abandon in the clothing that she designs. Using alternative patterns & fabrics, the clothing tends to be a little on the risque side, but can be whimsical in nature also.
There is a futuristic element mixed in with elements of the 90s, 80s, 70s, 60s, 50s, and, 40s mixed & matched in each collection.Born in Boston, MA, ReBeL has always had an eye for fashion even at a young age. She starting with making clothes for her Barbie and Cabbage Patch dolls advancing to altering clothing for herself.
She has always dressed how she wanted & her parents encouraged this by letting her pick her own clothes when they would go shopping.After high school, ReBeL attended college at Framigham State University for Apparel Design & Marketing. In 2007 after being diagnosed with End Stages Renal Disease(ESRD) in April of 07, she decided to go back to school, & Now Attends the New England Institute of Art majoring in Fashion Retail Management
.She believes that individuality is a movement and not a phase. This clothing line is for people who strive to stand out in a crowd, who want to express their uniqueness, and who love fashion. Being a leader is the goal, let people follow in your footsteps.
Together with her stylist Rocket, her PR Shatara, these women are pushing to save the world from conformity one outfit at a time.
